How do I do research?

Answer

A good starting place for research is the Dallas College Database list. Check out the collection of links under the title 'If You're Not Sure Where to Start.' You can filter the databases by subject or type using the drop down menus at the top.

Once you've chosen a database, start with simple keywords for your search. You can always filter or narrow your results down once you've started.

If you would like personal help with research, send a message with Ask-a-Librarian, chat with a librarian during business hours, or visit your campus library to talk to a librarian in person. You can also visit the How to Research guide linked below for more information.
